In June 2020, Council voted to resume in-person worship, but rescinded that decision after the case numbers started going up in September. As was the case in both of those votes, Council gave prayerful consideration to the current decision. Council took into account the results of Congregational survey; data on case and vaccine trends from local authorities; and recommendations from Federal, state, and local health authorities. Pastor contributed her knowledge of what is happening in other churches in the ELCA Virginia Synod and in Charlottesville.
