A lifelong Lutheran, Kevin Konort began singing at the age of 2, when tagging along with his mother and sisters to his church’s “Cherub Choir” rehearsal (a choir for the children in the church aged 4 to 7). The pastor asked the young Kevin if he wanted to join in and sing along with the older kids, and a love of music was born. He has since gone on to sing with numerous choirs at the community, district, state, school, and university levels.
Kevin first attended St. Mark in 2016, when he moved to Charlottesville for graduate school at UVA. He quickly joined the St. Mark choir and sang with them regularly for three years, while performing the occasional solo, before moving to Northern Virginia in 2019. Since moving away from the area, Kevin has continued to make the drive down to Charlottesville once a month to sing at St. Mark.
