9 AM in the Student Room
Join us as we begin an exciting new Bible study on the Book of Exodus using resources from Luther Seminary’s Enter the Bible project. Together we will explore one of the most important books in Scripture: the story of God’s deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt, the giving of the Ten Commandments, and God’s covenant relationship with God’s people. Exodus reveals God’s faithfulness, power, mercy, and desire to dwell among God’s people.
Our study will draw on the scholarship and accessible teaching materials developed by Luther Seminary faculty through the Enter the Bible website, a free resource designed to help Christians engage Scripture more deeply. The Exodus course includes summaries, outlines, historical background, theological themes, and discussion resources created and vetted by Luther Seminary scholars.

How Do Lutherans Read the Bible?
We take the Scriptures seriously, paying attention to their historical context, literary forms, and theological purpose. Lutherans are free to question, to study and learn from God’s word in community. Our Bible study welcomes people from different backgrounds and this diversity brings new questions and understanding to the text we read. No preparation is required, just bring your curiosity and patience as we read and listen together with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
